St. Peter's International School is the most recently authorized IB World School in Portugal, offering the IB Diploma Programme. With approximately eleven hundred students in total, from the age of 2 to 18, the school has consistently been placed in the top positions in the national league tables and has been considered the best in the region for various years. Founded in 1993, St. Peter's International School continuously aims to provide the highest quality in education, contributing to the most complete personal development of our pupils.

In a world that is constantly changing, in which society lives at an ever increasing pace, the school’s mission is to build self-reliant, critical, creative students, who have the necessary skills and abilities to perform well at a personal, social and professional level, allowing them to pursue their studies, benefitting from an active and significant integration into a rapidly changing and increasingly globalized society.

Considering the cosmopolitan spirit of the school, in which students of different nationalities work together, the English language acquires particular importance in our educational context, present in the syllabus from kindergarten to secondary school. The acquisition of other languages is also vital, including Spanish, German, Mandarin and Latin, helping students gain an in-depth understanding of different worldviews and an insight into diverse cultural realities.

The school also aims to develop an appreciation of various art forms, different physical activities and sports, by offering a myriad of extracurricular activities and clubs to all our pupils. The facilities also allow students to develop other areas of interest, with science labs, art rooms, IT labs and a fully equipped multimedia resource centre.

Finally, it is the school's aim to ensure that all students reach their personal and academic goals for their future, helping to nurture individuals who will contribute positively to the world they live in, becoming young adults with a proactive approach to life who are curious, open-minded, caring and reflective. As such, by exploring their critical spirit, St. Peter's International School aims to promote responsibility, autonomy, citizenship and solidarity in their students.
