At Tara Anglican School for Girls, we believe in the remarkable potential of every girl – inspiring her to learn, lead and serve with confidence, compassion and purpose. Situated on a leafy 12-hectare campus in North Parramatta, Sydney, Tara is an independent, non-selective Anglican day and boarding school (Early Learning to Year 12) that has been educating and empowering young women since 1897.

Our commitment to the internationally recognised International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and, from 2027, the Diploma Programme sets the tone for high-quality inquiry-based learning, global perspectives and a holistic approach to student growth. In our Senior School, students prepare for their studies with rigour, supported by teachers who understand how girls learn best so they emerge ready for the world's leading universities and beyond. A culture of curiosity and thoughtful challenge encourages girls to think critically, act ethically and engage with an ever-changing world.

From their first day, Tara girls are nurtured within a Christian learning community grounded in the values of affirmation, integrity, opportunity and service. This care-focused environment combines with outstanding resources and a diverse co-curricular programme: from robotics, 3D-printing and green-screen production in our Junior School to elite debating, public speaking, music ensembles, performing arts, rowing and sport across all years. These opportunities enable students to explore interests, develop confidence and connect with peers through shared passions.

For our boarding community at Eggleton House (Years 5–12), we provide the best of both worlds: the warmth of home-style living and the advantages of a vibrant city-campus experience. Small-group living, structured mentoring and a close-knit residential environment cultivate resilience, independence and lifelong friendships. Boarders are supported academically and personally, with routines and relationships that help them flourish.

At Tara, we take "achieve, serve, thrive" seriously. Service learning is embedded across the ELC–12 journey. Whether it's junior girls supporting younger peers, senior students planning community initiatives or global school exchanges, our girls develop as courageous, curious and open-minded citizens. These experiences help them understand their place in a global community and the responsibility that comes with it.

Guided by our strategic vision, " – Strong Foundations, Future Ready" – Tara continues to honour its heritage while preparing students for the world they will inherit. Our community knows each girl by name and supports her through innovative learning spaces, dedicated educators and a commitment to her growth.

Students at Tara are encouraged, equipped and empowered to become confident young women ready to embrace possibility.
