"At Taunton School, the IB becomes your second family. Because the classes are so small and you spend so much time together, you become close with people from all over the world, and you gain an insight into different cultures and beliefs that A Levels just don't offer."

"After being offered the IB Scholarship at Taunton School, it has opened many doors and opportunities for me to prosper in a fantastic educational environment. Taunton School offered great facilities which supported and strengthened my studies in my subjects." IB students at Taunton School

At Taunton School, we have been offering the IB Diploma since becoming an IB World School in 2007. During that time over 300 students have obtained the diploma and its popularity continues to grow.

IB students do consistently well at Taunton School, achieving high scores equivalent to 5 A Levels and often obtaining places at their first-choice university, whether it's in the UK or overseas. Many students achieve top points and go onto study medicine at highly competitive universities.

In 2020, of the 28 students who passed their Diploma, six scored 40 or more points. The average points score per candidate of 33.4 was well in excess of the world average of 29.9.

Aside from lessons, everything else is done with the rest of the Sixth Form, such as sport, drama, music, social events, houses and tutor groups.

Adrian Roberts, IB Coordinator at Taunton School says: "IB is going from strength to strength at Taunton School and our students consistently impress me with their willingness to aim high and extend themselves beyond the confines of a 'normal' Sixth Form curriculum."

We are a leading independent school for boys and girls aged 0 to 18 years situated on a beautiful 56 acre campus in the picturesque county of Somerset, in South West England.

Our aim is to challenge, nurture and inspire young people to succeed in a global community.

We offer an IB Scholarship of up to 100% of fees. Contact us to find out more: www.tauntonschool.co.uk/admissions/scholarships-assisted-places/
