The Academy International School, established in 1985, has long been recognised as a centre of excellent academic achievement, where the whole school community shares the joy of learning. We are also proud to be the first international British School to bring the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to Mallorca. We strive to achieve academic excellence while supporting over 500 students from 30 nationalities, ranging in ages from 2–18.

The Academy has been offering the IB Diploma Programme for 10 years now and has graduated over 200 students to universities around the world. Our academic results are outstanding and are always true to our vision of inclusiveness and averaging an overall IB Diploma score for 2025 of 33.8.

To gain entry to the IB Diploma programme students undergo counselling sessions that can support their desire to be in the Diploma Programme with their academic aspirations, ensuring that all students can succeed. The IB cohort is made up of 30 students in each of the two-year groups. The DP years at The Academy are made up of a healthy mix of students continuing through the school to our IBDP and students new to the school.

The Academy boasts a team of international full-time teachers who provide pastoral and academic support.

Life at the Academy IB DP is dynamic, each cohort of students has personalised tutoring support and students' wellbeing is at the core of our mission. By achieving this we aim to reach academic excellence for the students. All students do the full diploma, and due to the low turnover of staff, students are personally known and supported by all members of staff, leading to a productive and successful learning environment.

We offer 2 open days a year and our admissions team is always open to organising more personalised viewings of the school whenever best suits the parents.
