Education for Impact
The Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI) is a residential pre-university college that offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) to a diverse set of students from across the world.
Set atop a 170-acre hill in a biodiversity hotspot near Pune, MUWCI is ideal for exploration, creativity, and community engagement. Learning here extends far beyond the classroom, shaped by the natural environment and a vibrant, diverse campus community.
Our unique experiential learning programme seamlessly integrates IB's Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) with off-campus expeditions and signature campus experiences, all led and managed by students.
As a member of the global UWC movement, we place strong emphasis on learning through nature, shared responsibility, active participation in community life, and discovering one's purpose. MUWCI is meant for students who are strongly motivated to create a better world.
What makes MUWCI special
1) A truly international community: Students from over 70 nationalities live and learn together, fostering empathy, dialogue, and global understanding.
2) Outdoor learning: Regular outdoor expeditions and activities help students develop confidence and resilience.
3) Arts and expression: Strong visual arts, theatre, and film programmes offer hands-on creative learning, allowing students to express themselves better.
4) MUWCI CORE: A unique internal curriculum explores Culture and Peace Studies, Sustainability and the Climate Crisis, Health and Well-being, and Digital Literacy and AI.
5) Service and impact: Through MUWCI's in-house organisation, Akshara, students work with nearby rural schools to strengthen literacy and digital skills.
6) Access and guidance: Partial or full scholarships for deserving students; all students receive continuous learning support and university guidance.

Interested students can apply through their country's UWC National Committee or the UWC Global Selection Programme. Final selection is based on written applications, group activities, and interviews.
