Located only 30 minutes from Lisbon’s city center, near the sea and the mountains, this new state of the art building will offer weekly and full boarding in a safe and exceptional environment for the most attractive fees available for a boarding school in Europe.

This September 2021, St. Peter’s International School, considered one of the best schools in Portugal, will open a new, dedicated, on-campus residence within the 37,000 m2 grounds with state of the art building and sport facilities. Now, more families have the opportunity to access proven academic excellence in top facilities in a great and safe location - St. Peter’s International School is located in Palmela, near the sea and the mountains, only 30 minutes from Lisbon city centre and the International airport, and less than 90 minutes from cities like Sanatrém and Évora.

With more than 27 years of experience offering both the Portuguese and the International (IGCSE & IBDP) curricula and a track-record of excellent academic results, St. Peter’s International School has become a national school of reference, consistently present in the top positions in academic league tables.

With a growing demand from numerous national and international families, the school will now offer options for weekly or full boarding to students from the age of 14. The new boarders will have the opportunity to join the current and diverse school community of more than 1,000 students and 40 nationalities and benefit from a unique and individualised academic programme, as well as a personalised Career and University guidance, which will prepare them to access the most prestigious universities both in Portugal and abroad.

Additionally, St. Peter’s Boarding Residence will offer close pastoral care and 24 hour personal assistance - students will have 24/7 personal and academic support from the House Parents - and different cultural, sports and social activities during weekends and school breaks, assuring that they have a safe, rich and fun boarding experience.

Students living in the new Boarding Residence will benefit from 18 double bedrooms (9 for girls and 9 for boys) with en-suite bathrooms, personal study space and air-conditioning. Meals, based on the wonderful Mediterranean cuisine, are cooked on the premises and menus are prepared by a nutritionist, taking into account the nutritional needs of each boarder, while respecting their cultural and dietary restrictions. Boarders have access to the Boarding Residence common areas, the Sports Centre and Learning Resource Centre. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities on-site (from Rugby to Drama or Violin) as well as off-site activities. During the weekends, boarding students will have the opportunity to go on excursions and trips to various places around Portugal - the country has a diverse cultural and artistic heritage, with a vast historical legacy, and a diversity of landscapes from idyllic beaches to cosmopolitan cities.

With the ambition and aspiration to be much more than just a dormitory, but rather a second home for all students, St. Peter’s International School is offering proven academic excellence in top facilities and a great location for highly competitive fees available for a boarding school in Europe.

Moreover, as a member of the leading global premium schools network Inspired Education Group, St. Peter’s International School students also benefit from being part of a network of over 48,000 students across over 60 schools on 5 continents. With this new opening, more families will now have access to all the benefits of an Inspired school education for a significantly lower cost compared to other European countries.
